Order a note or call them to confirm if your file is in CPC or IRCC office.
CPC usually should not take this long
IRCC office takes much longer, e.g., many months.

I am so sorry to hear that. My experience is that the only working thing is to call your MP to apply pressure on them after several months.
My case was in Edmonton collecting dust for more than 10 months and they transferred it out to Saskatoon.
Saskatoon found they were doing non-sense and approved it very soon.
Good luck.

It’s been written in quotes! The only two things I understand they say the reason for the transfer is workload and re-distribution.the office is CPC Edmonton. I applied in March 2020 but got transferred in September 2020 . Do you know how long would it take there? Any idea ? . The last thing is that it says the approximately going to take 12 months from the date it got received.

Try getting your MP involved. They can pressure the officials to get it processed, if it's just being left for no reason.

May I know whats MP stand for?
Member of Parliament.
As your file was submitted in March, you may contact them for help now.
Try to ask them to transfer your file out! Edmonton is the slowest in the world!

Member of Parliament,

MP offices are all over the city, they will help you with your needs, and queries and will talk to CRA, IRCC and many more govt agencies on your behalf, their queries are fastly answered. Google and find out who is your local MP.

Hi! I applied for a PGWP on September 17 and today I received the following message:

“This letter refers to your application for a Work Permit. Your application has been transferred to the Canada Immigration Centre located in Etobicoke for processing. The Canada Immigration Centre will be contacting you with further instructions in due course.”
The application was in the Case Processing Centre in Edmonton.

Any idea what that means??
