Recommend interview means junior officer is asking to senior visa officer, look into his application carefully for somethings i don't understand Clearly ....it's nothing to worry, it's normal

Last year there were some Interviews held during January and February for SDS applicants, however an In-person Interview at this time seems very difficult, a telephonic Interview could take place which is very rare, just letting you know that in some cases, Interviews can happen

Interview happens when there are red flags in the file and visa officer has to clear them before making any decision, the decision could be positive or negative. Good luck

It means junior officer couldn't decide whether to recommend passed or interview you ,may be going for a program or anything not understandable by junior officer....therefore he refers to senior (Visa officer) to look into your file and decide both initial + final eligibility

woowww... thank you so much... I did my bachelors in psychology and now I have taken Diploma in mental health recovery and promotion... and one was added advantage was background in psychology... I wonder what is making the VO think review required.... is there something to worry?

Honestly speaking, there's no problem at all. Whatever it is recommend passed or interview or review required by junior officer..... Decision always depend on visa officer (Senior officer) , so nothing to worry just be positive

Recommend pass may go one way
Recommend interview can go either way

These are the combinations :

Review Required > Recommend pass > Passed
Review Required > Recommend pass > Recommend interview > Passed
Review Required > Recommend pass > Recommend interview > Fail
Review Required > Recommend interview > Passed
Review Required > Recommend interview > Fail
Review Required > Passed
Review Required > Failed

Agreed, it's rare to get recommend interview but most of the time its a refusal, however it's still possible to get an approval.
