Inland common law application was received December 12 2019 and transferred to Etobicoke on December 3 2020. My partner was out of status for 6 months when we applied. We’ve already ordered GCMS notes.

I came across a post that said all files are transferred to a local office if the applicant is out of status. Can anyone verify this? TIA

if it has transferred to Etobicoke, you will need to wait a long time!!!!!! they dont work on processing PR applications. still clearning 2018 applications :|

Okay thanks for this. My question was whether the transfer happened simply bc he was out of status. I’ve since learned that not everyone that’s out of status gets transferred but they transfer your file if they are concerned that the relationship is not genuine or the PA is inadmissible. I’m sure that being out of status can contribute to their analysis of if the relationship is genuine.

Honestly. I'm going to try a third time - I'm not sure what's confusing here.

You are posting in the wrong section of the forum. The answers and examples here do not apply to you.

This section of the forum is for Canadians who have sponsored their spouse or common law partner for PR.

You are asking about a SOWP application. No one in this section of the forum is going through this process. You need to post your question in the appropriate section of the forum.

But i did not ask anything in this thread. I just wrote my application got transferred. I didn’t ask anything.
and i did post in the foreign worker section.

Your information is misleading to others whose trying to find out about family sponsorship and when their files get transferred to local office.
So to others overlooking.
rituppaatteell is a foreign worker or spouse of foreign worker and he/she is applying SOWP.
