Hello guys, hope i am able to get some insight here, I arrived Canada the 18th of March with my closed work permit but then COVID happened, my employer said that I need to wait until they are back to full operation, but they are not showing any interest on me; I send my PR application (complete file) through the Atlantic Immigration Pilot the 23 of April not AOR yet so I am not in the system yet and cant get any information about my PR. Now is December and I want to see what I can do? My work permit expires March 2021, tried to get another job but no company wants to sponsor me or give me an LMIA to change my work permit. Is there a way to save my PR application? Thank you

If you want to continue through the provincial program, I think you would need to find a new employer willing to go through the LMIA / work permit process. I don't know if there are other options but hopefully someone else can comment.

If you have enough points without a job offer, then another option would be Express Entry (you would want to have around 470 points).

My new employer needs to have an LMIA or I can just use the offer of employment number that my ex employer gave me?
Your new employer would still need to obtain an approved LMIA.

That's one of my problems, they don't want to hire me so that they don't have to do the immigration process; is harder now with COVID
Yes, unfortunately it's very difficult right now.
