HI,

I recieved an conditional offer letter from algoma university and they are asking me to pay complete first year tution through flywire. The point of concern is only after getting unconditional offer letter we are suppose to pay tution fee as per my knowledge but here the case is different and also i want to mention that i applied through a consultancy and he is mostly prefering about fee not documents. Looks like something is fishy can some1 help me with how to know that the offer letter is genuine or not?

Hi, I am planning to apply for Project Management certificate course( Specialisation in IT) in Algoma University, the information I found on the website is unclear, can someone please assist on the course breakdown, length of the program, fees structure and PGWP length we get after completion.

Also as this is non-sds right, what's the visa approval rate ?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First of All SDS NONSDS is not dependent upon Program and College.. these are categories of Visa processing..

1. 16 months/ 4 Semesters (2 years)
2. 34540$ 2 years fee.
3. 2 year study = 3 years of PGWP

THANK YOU

what would be your PR strategy after this course?
Will you be eligible for OINP graduate stream or would you use this to get candian education and thereafter experience to qualify for CEC under expres entry?

There is no OINP graduate stream, only Master's and PhD stream. The Master's stream also fills up within hours of opening once a year (time and date unknown)

So will anyone who completes this course be eligible for Master's stream or No (because this is a graduate cert. coure).

If this is true - this i crazy IMO, how different is a master's course that a 4 semester graduate coure

Not crazy at all and let me explain why. I have done graduate certificate and now am doing Masters
Graduate certificates are a lower level of study
Province eligibility for a Master's program is extremely strict (may take 1 or 2 years to approve), Graduate certificate have little to no requirements to be approved.
Colleges cannot offer Masters, only universities meaning the quality of professors is higher. The content difficulty in Masters is also alot higher as well as the ability to get into a Master's program. Grad cert takes almost anyone. There are more reasons but these are just a few

Thank for explaining nicely - I wasn't aware.

One last question, after completing this course, I am assuming the path to PR would be either 1) OINP NOIs draws 2) the CEC class (with around 470 in express entry) or 3) persue a masters and hope to apply when the window opens?

If you get a job in an in demand occupation then yes you could qualify for a Tech draw. I wouldn't count on the Master's stream because its unpredictable and the fact that it fills up so fast. The advantage of a Master's is you can a lot more points (up to 464 if you max IELTs without any work experience). Also, it is a lot easier to get a job with a Master's from a recognized institution. After 1 year of experience you can then apply for CEC with 480 points+

So just to confirm the only path to PR after this course would be to find a job and then OINP tech stream or CIC?

Yes.... in offer it is written $16000t to be paid
Hiii Vinnit,

I hope you are doing great!!

I am also going to apply for Project Management 16 month course in Algoma University Brampton Campus. Could you please help me with the fee for this program?...
As you mentioned that 16000CAD was mentioned in your offer letter. Is this cost for entire 16 months course?... Did you confirm about this with the college?

Please reply me so that I would be able to plan accordingly.

Best Regards and Thanks in advance.
