Hey guys,

I have a query on proof of funds. My spouse is a primary applicant and I am a secondary applicant. Since she did not have enough amount in her account for proof of fund. I transferred the amount from my account to hers. Now what are the support documents I should produce for the same? Should I get a gift deed done? Or is there anything else since I am a secondary applicant.

I am confused right now. It would be great if someone can provide an insight on the same.

Thanks in advance.

If you are on the same application, you can show each of your accounts or joint accounts. No need for gift deeds. It is on the EE website explaining proof of funds.

Thanks for replying. I have already transferred the amount to her account. Now how do I justify that the amount which she has received in her account is from the secondary applicant. What document can prove that the amount she recieved in her account is from her spouse (secondary applicant)

Your spouse should explain that in the LOE. She should state that her spouse who is the secondary applicant transferred some money to her account towards your plans to emigrate. Since the money is from an account in your name, there should be no problem.

If an applicant’s spouse is accompanying, the applicant can show the funds held together in a joint account to meet the PoF requirement. However, to be able to show the funds for meeting the PoF requirement, held in an account under the spouse’s name only, the applicant must prove that they have access to the funds. This can me done by the spouse executing an affidavit affirming that the funds held in the spouse’s account can be used by the applicant for the purpose of meeting the PoF requirements.

Hi all..the bank asked me for the address of recipient to generate the proof of fund. Now what would be the address of IRCC to be included as recipient in proof of fund?
