Hi All,

I'm in the midst of filling out the renewal form, and I see that my Travel History (Q 21) needs to be provided. Considering that I have more entries than the rows available, I had a few questions-

(i) Do I need to attach another page with the application detailing the entries that I can't fit in the table?
(ii) Would it help to attach a print out of the 'Physical Presence Calculator' (from the CIC's website) to demonstrate that I've met the RO?

Many thanks!
NK

You attach another page and only need to fill out the Travel History section continuing on chronologically from the last date entered on the previous page. You could make a small note on the somewhere where there's space first page saying there's an additional page(s) attached with more days.

For your second question, it's assumed that you're keeping track of the days exactly so if you have that you can attach it but I've never done this (I keep track on a spreadsheet)... you'll have to fill out the Travel Section in the application regardless (and any other extra pages for more entries).

Dear All,

I am a PR Card holder for the province of Manitoba. I have landed in March 02, 2019 in Winnipeg, Manitoba and received PR card within 21 days and later on left Canada for my home country due to some other reason. Since then I have been living in my home country. However, I am planning to settle there in the February, 2022 and will meet my PR obligations. However, my passport validity period will expire on 03, April , 2022. Do I need to renew my passport in order to travel to Canada as well as to pass through the immigration back here in my home country. If I need to renew my passport, should I need to inform the CIC immediately and do I must the passport where there was stamp of PR visa. Any advice is highly appreciated .

Thanks and Regards.

You should renew your passport in your home country since it will be much easier. You will need your PR card to travel. You have left yourself around a month of buffer time which does not give you a lot of time to do any business travel, holiday travel outside Canada or leave you much time if there is a family emergency. You could easily fall out of compliance with your RO.

Yes to both. I've got something like 500 border crossings, so I just keep the physical presence calculator updated. They have fixed most of the bugs (it had issues with study and work permits at the same time, as well as it used to complain if any entries were more than 5 years old), and it's easy to just print it out and attach to a PR Card/PRTD application.
