Hey guys today I called IRCC to check on my application by entering my application number and DOB. I noticed that biometric was not mentioned at all and my background changed from "Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." To "we are processing your background check."

any idea what this might mean?

To give you more insight, the last time i touched base with an agent on Nov 9
Eligibility : recommended passed
Security: not started
AOR Jul 1
VO: CPC-Ottawa

I guess the CIC account cause I called the IRCC 1888 number and just listened to the automated message.

Does your MycIC show your biometric info, then you need not worry.

Hi guys,

I got the response for my webform inquiry about my status. Here it goes:

Eligibility: In progress
Criminality: In progress
Security: Not started

My AOR date is July 22. I am bio exempt and it hasn't been updated. I had 3 ghost updates so far and the latest was a month ago. My background check status has been the following since Sep 14 that I passed my medical.

• We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

I got GCMS notes a few months back (very early on!) and I know that my primary visa office is Ottawa and the secondary is Edmonton.

It seems to me that things are not really moving forward. I hope this helps someone!

I had exactly the same update, at least its good to know we're in the same boat! Fingers crossed

I gave bio in August and only had one ghost update after R10 is done. Criminality is not even started. Is the queue in Ottawa moving at all?
