Regarding OINP

Hi,
I had received the OINP notification of interest email through my express entry profile on Oct 15th 2020. The letter contents is:

Dear XXX,

"The Government of Ontario is interested in considering you for nomination under its Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) through Express Entry.
If you want Ontario to consider you for nomination under its PNP you must contact Ontario directly after receiving this letter. Note that this letter of interest is not a guarantee that you will be nominated by Ontario. You will first have to satisfy Ontario that you meet the requirements of their program. ......."

After received this letter, I have submitted my profile from OINP e-filling portal. My ask is, do I need to contact Ontario directly after submitting my profile ?

I wonder if someone can help me to explain how I do need to contact Ontario directly as mentioned in the letter.

If you submitted application online through oinp e portal and received confirmation by email tha they hae received your application. Then you don't need to contact them. Just try to see application update online by log in into the portal.

I submitted my profile on 9th Nov but status is still ‘submitted’. Does the status change take time?

Normally it takes about 1 week from submission to assessment then takes about two weeks from assessment to decision in progress then it's final approved. This timeline differs according to processing officer. Normally within 4 weeks it's get approved.

It's taking very long time these days, I have submitted the application 7th october, it's still in submitted state after even more than 45 days. Due to covid-19, Oinp app process is taking long time.
