ECA from CES

I have some queries regarding the documents required for ECA process from CES and the timelines.

1. Can I submit university attested copies of my statement of marks instead of sending them Transcripts? The CES website doesn't clarify the same and only states "Attested Marsheets" are needed. However while filling up the application form, it mentions "Transcripts needs to be arranged by the applicant". Its confusing for me, as in my case getting my documents attested by university is easier than getting a Transcript, and I would like to go with the easier option unless its in valid.

2. How much time does CES take to complete the ECA process? And has Covid19 impacted it anyway?

3. Do CES has a reliable helpdesk or application tracking mechanism?

Based on these info I will be initiating the process with CES or IQAS .. as WES is not an option for me.

Thanks in advance.

Hi -

1. Transcripts = Marksheets signed by the college (if autonomous) / university. Whatever course you have done, you must have received a marksheet each semester, and then a consolidated marksheet later. You need not send these originals to CES but what your college or university will do is ask you to apply for each of the "transcripts" again, then you'll need to get them attested by the university itself. Basically, they'll reprint your marksheets and attest them for ECA purposes. There's no perfect answer to this question, each university has it's own process.

2. Yes, COVID will have an impact. Their website says 14 weeks (after they've received your transcripts). Based on my research, typically takes 14-20 weeks.

3. I don't have an experience with their services but again, based on my research - they're okay. Heard many cases of them not being prompt.

At what step is your process stuck?
Mine's at step one. They acknowledge that they've received my post.
