I just need to be patient and let IRCC do what it does best. I've waited this long for processing. Another month or two to hopefully see some movement won't be the end of the world.

I think I was just frustrated that so much time had passed and the security check (the longest part of the processing) hadn't yet begun.

Hey! I sent you a private message earlier. Calling them so soon won't help. But calling them later also might not help, because they have said that the VO the application is in various from application to application, and doesn't necessarily indicate the state of progress.

For example, some applicants have their apps sit with Ottawa right the way through. Others have them transferred to their home country VO. It just depends on what they decide at the time. Maybe it's a capacity thing.
