Hi! I'm not finished flying there yet – I just reached my transfer and final destination is next. So far, the check-in people did not want me boarding the flight and were forcing to buy a returning ticket. Luckily, thanks to ArriveCan and a lot of documents I prepared I was able to persuade the lady to let me register for Vancouver.@janesama I hope you and your spouse reached safely! How was your experience and what documents did they ask for?
Thank you for the update! That's so strange that they weren't allowing you to board the flight. But as you said you are done with your share of issues. I'm sure the remainder of the journey will be smooth for you and your spouse. We don't have the travel authorization for my spouse. But he does have an offer letter with date of joining etc. Hoping for the best!Hi! I'm not finished flying there yet – I just reached my transfer and final destination is next. The authorization to travel for my husband was super-concrete argument to let him fly with me and it was surprising about how hard it was for me instead. So if you can, definitely have some proof that IRCC does not mind spouse traveling with you.
My best hope is that hardships ended in Ukraine and Canada would be as smooth as people here describe But definitely be prepared with your documents right at check-in desk
Yes, they might be doing some checks. If nothing has changed then it's all good. I can only imagine what you are going through right now. How long is the journey to Vancouver?Update: my status in IRCC changed but there were no changes and document is still valid. I hope this was just because they were checking me in the system knowing that I am traveling to Vancouver today, so the main challenge I guess is gonna come in an hour, when I have to board my plane to Vancouver
How would they know when you're traveling? Through ArrivCan?Yes, they might be doing some checks. If nothing has changed then it's all good. I can only imagine what you are going through right now. How long is the journey to Vancouver?
I think ArriveCAN won’t come into effect until November 22 or soHow would they know when you're traveling? Through ArrivCan?
I'm guessing so, I haven't downloaded ArriveCan so not too sure what information goes in. But I'm assuming that we need to enter the UCI number or something. Not sure though. How would they know when you're traveling? Through ArrivCan?
Yes ArriveCan is not mandatory now, but it would be from 22nd November. But we can update the information voluntarily.I think ArriveCAN won’t come into effect until November 22 or so
