So, from what I gather our process is finally over. My husband received an email yesterday saying congratulations on becoming a PR of Canada. I’m pretty sure they did a virtual landing for us without even letting us know lol. We sent out all of our PPR documents so just waiting to see what comes back in the prepaid envelope we also had to send. But CIC, ECAS & the email all say everything is complete. So exciting.

This is the timeline:

Hi everyone, so I tracked my passport and it shows “ your processed passport has been received at Canada visa application Centre, on 2020/11/03 and is ready for collection. To know more, please call Vac helpline number or visit Vac website”
Please does this mean my passport is ready for pickup?

Got update after almost 9 months since application transferred to NYVO. They are now asking for proof of cohabitation from 11 years ago. I am dumbfounded why they need such. Anyone else being asked for this? We have moved different to places and I do not know what kind or proof to give them. We got married 4 years ago. Getting frustrated and hopeless.

That makes no sense at all, you are not applying thru common-law since you are married and 11 years ago would make no difference to a common-law app. Does their request say anything else? Submit a web form asking how that information is relevant to your application. Maybe they made a mistake with their request.

Thank you. That’s what I was thinking, I would write back and ask the relevance of their requests. They were also asking for the address history of my spouse since the age of 18years old. He migrated to canada at the age of 25. On the original application we submitted, we included his address history for the last 5yrs. Maybe NYVO is buying time to look into our application. I will still have to comply the best way I can since we are so desperate since we are almost on the 16months wait time

So, I posted about a week ago about receiving COPR & a letter welcoming my husband to Canada and saying he is now a PR & our application is complete. We’re still a little confused because it didn’t specify a landing but we’re assuming a virtual landing was done for him. But, he still has to switch his American money over to a bank account and he has some things we’ll eventually go back to America to get when Covid calms down. Any insight from anyone who might know what we do now in that situation? Thanks :)

They can literally ask for anything. They called us for an interview just because the officer had questions about my relationship I was in before my husband. I wasn’t even married before. So I suppose there’s a method to their madness. Even if it makes zero sense why it matters lol.

I received this message too. But you need to contact the Visa center through their site and they will give you the LBC tracking number and wait for 6 days it will deliver to your address. Because they don't allow pick-up.
