Provided fingerprints in March 2019 for work permit. Should be exempted by latest biometric exemption policy(sept.22).

Before 10.15, Biometrics details show " we need your fingerprints......."

After 10.15, Biometrics details show "we have not received your fingerprints......” (no changes on Nov. 4 today)

I knew someones who have later AOR received document called "Other" which stated refunding $85 biometric collection fee.

I received "biometric instruction letter" instead. Info section also shows the no of biometrics and expiry date.

Anyone in the same boat???

I had experienced same with work permit extension application where I was exempted after new rules however I didn't receive any letter of refund. I've raised web forms queries for the same hence waiting for IRCC response!

Another ghost update again today, came with a change. Background check has changed back to “we are processing....” IP2.

Just got a ghost update now.

my AOR is 23/08/2020 and I receiver the letter “other“ on 14/10/2020. They refund the complete amount of 170$ after few days.

Timeline in my signature. They linked our old biometrics on oct 1, together with our medical passed, and updated our profile. At the same time I received the biometrics collection letter, which of course I ignored. After 14 days I received the other letter with the refund on my CC.

likely we are in the same boat. People who had AOR between August 15 and August 20 ( I think) may be frustrated with the " we have not received your fingerprints....." status....

You're lucky!!!!

I haven't received any refund and any changes for biometric details saying " we have not received your fingerprints......"

My case could be ignored and put aside by Officer. A long journey waits for me .....

BTW, my mep is 9.28
