Student Permit Extension - Timelines (Submission Sept/Oct 2020)

I am looking to start a thread to monitor processing times for students you have applied for a student permit extension recently. The processing seems to be faster than earlier in the year and I was told by my University immigration consultant that I could hear back in 1-3weeks. The current processing times as of Oct 27th on CIC was 46 days.

My details:

Submission: 23 Oct 2020
Biometric: Valid till March 2030
Current Permit expiry: 30 Nov 2020
Request for new Permit: until Spring 2021
Eligibility Review: yet to start.
