1. Was your file was at VO Montreal before moving Hamilton? Or are aware of whether if it was under review required for any reason (e.g. prior visa refusal)?
2. Did everything (i.e., background check status) get updated in your account on the same day as your copr?

Correct @yyzstudent below is all you need to prove to make a request.

To prove that you have the right to make a request, you must provide one of the following documents: a copy of your Canadian passport or your permanent resident card, or an official document that demonstrates you are currently living in Canada (i.e. a driver's license, bill with proof of address, work/study/visitor permit, etc). Only one (1) document is required. Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) will not be accepted.

Got 2 ghost updates today. Once in morning & second one just now. Hopefully it is a sign that my security is atleast started. Will call CIC later in the week to see if there is any update.

Hi, no need to resend another. If any information is required then IRCC will contact you via email; you can also proactively contact them too. Proof of right to make a request is required.

Does it speed up the GCMS request if proof is provided? I've made requests in the past without proof and they always took about a month. Not sure if it can be quicker.

Agent was very helpful and patient. After hearing status of my application it was kind of hard to believe because I got my GCMS notes this week that were generated on Oct 28th (applied Sept 14th) and security wasn't even started. She told me that a senior officer will check my final details like expiry of passport and medicals etc and then isssue a COPR letter & it shouldn't take too many days.

No it is still the same. Says eligibility and BCG check in process.

Wow, can she really ask senior officer to look at your application??
