I understand that this needs lot of patience and faith. I am confused about the status of security screenings as per the status it's not started since August 2020. The notes were generated in October 2020. What does not started means? @legalfalcon

Does page 2 say not tarted and you see a security screening activity in the notes, is that what you are saying?

@legalfalcon Hi. Thank you for your help till now. I have water damage on my current passport which I have applied for PCC and IELTS and even got visas stamped. I have had zero problems in foreign travel. I have to put in the passport scans for my PR application post ITA. All the pages have minor stains but the front page has dried water stains, but all details are visible for my name, place of issue dates etc. I have an old clean scan of the same front page. Can I attach it altogether and explain the situation in the LOE? Please advise. Thank you again!

YEs, should not be a problem. All IRCC needs is a valid passport.

Usually there are 2-4 activity for a regular SS, but in case of comprehensive, there are more.

You should wait for at least 3 months before requesting CBSA notes.

The PPR are being sent randomly. Also for those who have received PPRs, have been asked to wait to another set of instructions to mail the passports.

@legalfalcon I was wondering does callingircc and asking an agent about your application status have any negative impact. I have read some forums that if you call ircc couple of time they keep track of it and might impact negatively. I’m not sure to what extent it is true.

This is false. You can call as many times, but you should be mindful of how often. It has no impact, but if you call everyday, they can just note it and next time you call, they will say that you called yesterday. Its embarrassing, but nothing more than that. Calls are not recorded in your file and it has no impact what so ever.

Family members can be added to the application at any time during the process, including after the visa is issued, but prior to obtaining permanent resident status.

Until you land in Canada and are admitted as a PR, you can add your spouse to your application. However, if you have landed and admitted as a PR, then you will have to sponsor your spouse by filing a spousal sponsorship application.
