It'll be very difficult. You'll have to have a significant down payment required (close to 50%), on top of that, you will have to show a regular income that can sustain the payments which is unlikely because you are a student. Unless you are willing to pay 100% of the price, then why not?

Just an off-topic question, can we buy a property on student visa in canada?
You can. You will have to pay additional taxes due to the non-resident speculation tax.

Still I want to have an idea about two bedroom apartments in Windsor and how much tax is applicable?
Again, depends on the price of the property.

There are several different taxes you will have to pay.

https://www.realtor.ca/ .. you can get pretty much the idea from here. I believe its 15% additional for non-residents.
Yes - it's 15% for the non-res tax.

However there are other taxes to pay as well, legal closing costs and other fees. So there will be more to pay on top of the purchase price than just the 15%.

Anyone, foreigner or not, can buy property in Canada, however it's not used as an assessment factor for any permit/visa

Hi, yes you can. My down payment is 30%. 15% foreigner tax will be refunded after you graduate and if your SP or WP is valid more than 2 years.
