I called IRCC today and got a temporary file number. They received my application and said it just waiting to be assigned to an officer.

Few weeks ago late SEPT I tried to make an appointment on wife's name and they gave it , that's why I asked you. It is so saddening that if they keep closed there will be millions waiting and delays+delays will occur

My frnd I called2-3 times they dont tell you F all. They are not Immig Officers and are NEW entrants. They only say YES your file is in the process, please wait. They gave XF file no. only..

It happens sometime...IRCC start processing without sending an acknowledgement.
