Doing master's in Canada

If you complete a one year master's degree in Canada, do you get points for completing a one year master's degree in Canada AND for having a master's degree as well, or do you just get points for completing it in Canada?

The score difference is huge between those two possible ways of adding points.

Also make sure your college and the program is listed in the DLI list. https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/study-canada/study-permit/prepare/designated-learning-institutions-list.html

This is also required to get the study permit, but hey, never hurts to double check.

You need to show why taking a masters in Canada will help your career in your home country. Pay first year tuition and show minimum $10k Cdn for living expenses.
