Volunteer Withdrawal affects PGWP?

So I might have to VW (without refund) a course. But by doing that I would only study 2 courses for the rest of the semester, and that means I'd become a Part-Time student.

I know that you should not be a Part-Time student during your time at university. But I'm just wondering if I Volunteer Withdrawal without refund, would become a Part-Time student be acceptable in this case?

No, it is not acceptable. You have to be a full time student even if you are not taking any courses. Universities have something called maintenance courses, in which you will register and pay full fees equivalent to that of a course. You are paying the fees just to maintain the student status. Talk to your department, they would be able to guide you regarding the registration.

P.S. You can be part time student only if it is your last semester

You need to talk to your immigration advisor in school.
What course are you taking?
Can you sign up for any electives ?
If your GPA isn't taking a huge hit, stay registered, take an F.

Again if you really need PGWP, there are no options, talk to your advisor.
