Hi everyone. We are June 2019 applications and nothing much have moved since then. I want to ask if anyone can help with the cost of medical for both parents in Canada (BC)? Thanks!

Aor received on sep 10 but I still cannot link application to my cic. I am representative for my parents, so maybe it is a problem? I am trying link to my father's account and it is didn't work too. And if my family is me, my husband, 2 kids, my husband is co signer , and we sponsoring my parents and my brother, which number I need to indicate as part of application? Thank you

So good news finally came in today, my family have received their passport request. Their visa is valid till one year from date of medical exam. They will be submitting passports shortly.

Hello. I have a question regarding parent sponsorship

I and my sister live here in Canada and both qualify to sponsor our parents under the newly opened 2020 sponsorship for parents.
I know part of the criteria is that one should not submit duplicate applications. - does this mean duplicate applications from one person or duplicate applications for the person you are sponsoring?

My question is if I submit an application, can my sister also submit her own application?

You as well as your sister both can submit interest for sponsoring your parents and that is not considered duplicate.

Hi,

our application was received on June 2019. We got biometrics letter today. My parents are in Canada on visitor visa. Does some one know when we should expect call from Service Canada for appointment? What are the next steps afte Biometric and how long does it take? Appreciate your knowledge share.

It seems like IRCC is prioritizing applicants who are in Canada, if they have a valid visa, it's worth bringing them here and updating their address to Canada via webform

thanks @serious_cheese, I’ll check, her visitor visa and passport will be expiring in April 2021, any suggestions from group members or seniors who has done this? I mean parent coming to Canada and PGP file moving quickly specially from Pakistan. Please guide. Thx

Is your parents in INDIA or in Canada. Just curious if the applicant is already in Canada, whether the application will be forwarded to INDIA or processing will be done in Local office in Canada.

They are in india since june 04,2019. But My lawyer didn’t update their address. He said when cic will ask, we”ll update

I know man. They keep asking for same documents over and over again. I willl have to send the same docs i sent 2 weeks ago. That is birth certificate, old indian passports, old school records. Affidavits are not accepted apparently. So that pretty much leaves me with no choice. Can anybody think of any other documents that proves parents relationship with sponsor?
I thought of ration card. Any feedback on that one?

If you are married, your marriage certificate will have your parents name on it.

than I guess if they come to Canada and you advise CPC-M that they are here things might go faster. I’ve been noticing lately that most finalized cases are those of parents who are currently in Canada.

Hi guys,

My family's file has been in processing since early this year. The last update was in Feb 2020 informing about the medicals being passed and then I received "Pre-arrival" message back in September. The file is with Delhi VO and they're not offering any update via email or phone. I was wondering if I should invite my family to Canada and change the address on the file. Will that speed up the process? Moreover, will this make Delhi VO transfer file to a VO in Canada.
Your insight will be extremely helpful. Please and thank you in advance.

Please update the tracker (Line #87). Today the PR Application Status changed from "In Process" to "Decision Made". Haven't received any additional information yet but I am hoping very soon. I'm sure many of us here check for updates everyday, for me I check it every morning with my morning coffee, except today I didn't need caffeine to wake up. I'll keep you guys posted, I always look forward to other members posting updates, gives me hope. I like to mention both my parents are on a Super Visa here in Canada for the past 2 years.
