Hello,

I have a unique situation I am looking to get advise on.

My family recieved PR status in 2004 which we did not recieve and never came to canada. I do have a SIN number from then.

In 2013, me and my parents were visiting Canada and they denounced their PR to get visitor permit. (I was 15 then)

Now, In the last 5 years I've spent total around 2 years visiting my brother (canadian citizen) and spent time with him outside Canada as well.

I am considering to apply for my first PR card now through IMM544E. What do you think the chances are of it working out? Or any advice for me to be able to explain my situation to improve chances if any?

Thank you always for being the best immigration community on the web.

Unfortunately your chances are zero. You officially lost your PR status back in 2013 when your parents renounced PR to get the visitor permit. Once PR status is renounced, you can't get it back.

You'll need to reapply for PR from scratch through an economic immigration program like Express Entry based on your education, work experience, language capabilities and other factors.

Unfortunately there's no chance of restoring your old status. The system doesn't work that way.

Your brother got lucky due to an error but you won’t have the same results.
