Date of payment deduction: Oct 6th, 2020
Date printed: Oct 8th, 2020
Date mailed out: Oct 9th, 2020
Citizenship Certificate received: Oct 13th, 2020
Passport Received: Oct 14th, 2020

Total processing time: 22 days

“We verified the information you provided and can confirm that the application is still in process.

All the required documents and information have been received by the responsible office for the moment.

Due to the ongoing situation related to thenovel coronavirus (COVID-19), some IRCC offices are currently operating with reduced or critical staff only.”

Thanks for updating! I was expecting the same response from them. What a ridiculous (obviously automated / copy paste) response by IRCC to a query for an application which is pending for more than a year!

i called today to have an update as my status hasnt been updated since last year, october 2019. As per the agent Montreal office is now open and they started to schedule the test. i forgot to ask how they are going them? does someone has a lead on this

Yes, last week someone posted on FB group that one of the applicants went for the test and she was also from Montreal. However, we are still not sure that they are doing this for urgent applications or for all.

My oath was on Sept 28th. I called IRCC, Certificate was released and mailed on Oct. 2nd. Still not received yet. Ecas status complete.

thats comforting! Did mine on Sept 25th, mailed on oct 7th still nothing. Upon emailing IRCC, they said they will only deem it lost after 6 weeks. =|

if it makes you feel better - my oath was on August 26, it's been 8 weeks and I am still waiting.

IRCC say that it is still in queue for printing and I have no idea how to affect the process. I am a very patient person, but this helplessness drives me nuts.

Ottawa. It feels so odd to be officially a Canadian citizens and have no means to prove it or any legal status in Canada. Even PR card is not valid anymore.

IRCC never ceases to surprise me, not in a good sense.

I called again today IRCC today and they said still the certificate hasn't been mailed!!!!!!!!!!! and Canada post may take up to 8 weeks to deliver. Very confused. My Ecas shows complete since early Oct.

So I finally received my citizenship certificate in mail today yay !!!! I am wondering what the next step is now ? Also, me and my fiance are getting married next year we have not finalized any dates yet because of covid just curious will I have to make any changes in passport after I am married? Also , how long can you wait before you apply for Canadian passport ?

Congrats...You must wait at least 2 business days after your ceremony before you can apply for a passport.
