I've just included a copy of my Passport to satisfy the Passport and Personal Information Document...

Unfortunately, the checklist mentions of 2 photos required but not about 2 Personal Information ID...

Do you think they'll return my application back... or will they just ask me to send the extra piece of ID by post???

The checklist also says see step 3 of the instruction guide, step 3 of the instruction guide cleary said two pieces of ID.
In my opinion, your application is incomplete as you did not send two pieces of ID as required.

Agree... But its indeed misleading, for the 2 photos as well it does mention of Step 4 of the instruction guide.

You reckon I send out another application in the interest of time rather than wait for their reaction.

That is why you need to read the instruction guide carefully and without rushing. The checklist can hide important detail concerning a requirement, but if you went through the instruction guide you should have known more. In general an incomplete application is sent back.

It should be but make sure you should send copies of all the passports including expired one which are falling during your 5 years of eligibility period.

Fair Enough... if ots 100% sure that my application will be returned...Can I send out another completed full application in the interest of time ?

It's been more than 24 hours since I received my AOR, but when I try to check my application status online on ECAS, it says, "We were not able to identify you using the information you provided."

Patience is virtue while dealing with IRCC.
For sure you will get your info on ECAS. But its not that useful as it contains only 2 lines that we received your application and we sent you AOR on certain date.
