Hello everyone, on November will be 90 days since CIC request us documents for second stage.
My husband sent all the documents to the Canadian Embassy in his country on August (who is responsible for processing her background and sending them to Immigration).
The thing is: Will we have to request an extension if they have not yet received the Criminal Record Certificate of my husband home country even if it is something that no longer depends on us?

I recommend you not to wait for the last minute. Try to follow up as much as possible with the embassy, cic or who ever is involved. The extension I have no idea but no harm to ask cic what if? Because I believe they ask for the reason why you were not able to submit all documents on time.

I dont think so, AIP is just approval doesn't not mean you are pernament residence. Best to wait until you pass stage 2 to get CoPR
