Driving into Canada on expired US licence

Hi, My US drivers licence expired in June , 2020.

I have recently got my work permit approval and am planning to drive to Canada.

I was on F1 status and then had to go on B2 status to maintain my legal stay in US. Hence I am not able to renew my licence.

I wanted to know if I can drive to Canada with an expired US licence?

Of course not . It’s not valid, and it’s illegal to drive with an expired license in Ontario & and more than likely in other provinces as well

Probably illegal to drive in the US without one as well.

I am in Texas and here licence renewal has been waived for the time being due to COVID

My license in Texas, expired in July 2020. I'm on B2 also (to maintain my legal status)
I went for renewal, they sent it for 2nd review and then subsequently approved it for 6months.
It took 3 weeks, but then peace of mind for 6months.
And good part, I'll be able to use it in Canada..
