What is the fingerprint request letter language? Did they say that after reviewing biographical information they have questions about your application? I got a fingerprint request stating similar reason.

The attachment states ' after reviewing the biographical information on your application form, there are questions in your case with regards to sections 21 and/or 22 of the citizenship act, explained further on the second page of the letter'
and on the second page it has all the generic wording.
Would this be the same for you?

Hey guys, my application went in process on Sept. 22 and my concern is that I am leaving the country for a while, what are the chances that they might ask me for fingerprint? I have done fringerprint for a crinmal recored check when I apply for my PR. so i dont know if I should do a fingerprint before I leave the country or I should be fine?

Its nothing to do with your finger prints as they dont store the finger prints. cic is actually requesting the record internally to that dept which is why even few people get second request since the records have the expiry date of 12 months.
I dont know if you can do it from outside but it needs to be done again after the request from cic since the records have been expired already.

I have exact same wording on my fingerprint request letter. I think this is generic wording from IRCC end.

Hello,
I got fingerprint request in both email and also it was updated in ECAS. In ECAS it only says that they have sent me a correspondence and I should submit the information mentioned in the correspondence.

I never had any fingerprint done when I got my PR. They was no request for same. Only when I applied for Citizenship I got fingerprint request after my application went to in process stage.

I wonder what cic would do with the record request as it would expire in 12 months and they will trouble us with another request if these guys are not conducting tests and oath before 12 months. Even for the people who finished tests were asked for second time fingerprints and i am not sure why cic should request for fingerprints now itself without any plan to finish the whole process within next 12 months.

I think IRCC just wants to check applications from the security point. In my case I think because I never had any fingerprint request before so that might be the case and also my first name and middle name very common so that might have triggered fingerprint request as well. IRCC is giving 90 days to submit the application and they do say that once I am granted citizenship they will also delete my fingerprints from the database and RCMP will do the same as well.
