****URGENT**** query regarding parent and grand parent sponsorship. PLEASE ADVISE

Hello folks,

I landed on 22nd feb 2018, i met income requirement for 2019 and 2020, however i am confused about my annual income in 2018, because as you see my landing date is in feb, so if they calculate my income from landing date on prorata basis than i am meeting income requirement, however if they calculate over all income than i am not eligible.

Can they calculate my income from my landing date?

Please help me

You should be eligible on the basis of the income on all the 3 years of NOA from CRA. Just check and see ur total earnings in each of your NOA's for the last 3 years.

So will you be sponsoring both your parents.
No of people in your family is 4 - is that you, your spouse and 2 kids ??

Can you clarify the number of people in your family in total considering your parents

They do not calculate your income on a pro rata basis. They will take exactly what is shown in your 2018 NOA.

Unfortunately you don't qualify in that case. You need to have $60K for 4 people. The good news is that you will qualify next year and the intake of applications is going to be larger in 2021 (30K).

The income requirements for 2020 has changed. for 4 people it is $49,106 , 5 people it is $55,695 and for 6 people it is $62,814

And yes they wont calculate on pro rata basis. You have to have the minimum income to be eligible to sponsor.
