@legalfalcon Really appreciate and thank you for your help to everyone on this forum. I do have few questions to ask if you can answer. I would really appreciate please.

I got information letter confirming the PR in Canada last week. And I already applied for PR card for me and my spouse.
1) Am I officially the Permanent resident or do I have I need a PR card to be a PR? ECAS status already showed the landing date for me.
2) Can I change my job at this moment?
3) I have applied for a new SIN (because many told me to update with this information or copr letter). But as I applied online, it will take few weeks. Can I continue working with my current SIN (expiring the early next year) till the new one comes?
1. Your become a PR when you receive the COPR and it is activated, usually stamped. See the date on cOPR. PR card is just a travel document that you need to enter Canada and is your proof of PR status.

2. After your become a PR, you can work anywhere, for any employer.

3. Yes.

Thanks again @legalfalcon ! One last question, would I have a UCI number after having applied for an eTA?
If, in the past, you submitted an application to come to Canada such as a study permit or work permit, you will have a Unique Client Identifier (UCI).
Look for this number on letters you received from us or on the immigration document that was issued. Example: study permit, work permit, or visitor visa.
If you do not know what your UCI is:
  • enter "NA" in the field, or
  • enter your immigration document number (for example: study
permit, work permit or visitor visa number).

If you just applied for ETA, you won't have a UCI.

Hi
I have applied as a single applicant in express entry CEC class. I got my medical passed and requested for biometric.
now I am planning to get married somewhere in January and want to add her in my current application.
Can you please answer my following questions??
1. Will they recalculate my score if I add her in my current application?
2. What is the best time to add her in my current application means after getting eligibility passed or after receiving CoPR and before landing?
3. Is there any negative effect on my application for doing so??
Thank you

@legalfalcon how can we find out if security is completed or not ? if Info sharing is complete does it mean security is also finished ?
Info sharing is separate and is usually done early in the process.

Check the activities section of your GCMS notes. If you see 4 activities labeled as security, then most likely your security is passed.

1. No, if you add your spouse after e-APR the points are not recalculated. If the family composition changes after the e-APR has been submitted, the family member added is not subject to eligibility assessment. However, the family member will have to be assessed for medical, criminal and security.
see https://bit.ly/3jcP0Mx

2. You can add anytime, it would not matter.

3. Your spouse will have to undergo medical, criminal and security admissibility. Under Canadian immigration law, all family members have to be admissible. If any family member is inadmissible, the entire application is refused.

@legalfalcon @caipsnotes I received my gcms notes and on page 2 all parameters are passed. There is no officer's comment on eligibility. The eligibility was passed by the CPA. Officer did not say anything about my work experience or POF etc. Can I say Eligibility is conclusively passed? Below is note from the officer for your comment;

**Officer Review- RROC processing** Admissibility -- search complete: No concerns. Address and travel history reviewed. No apparent concern. Crim: Nigeria PC(s). Reviewed. NRT.Bio passed. Infoshare: Reviewed. No concerns. Upon review of all available information, I am satisfied there are no crim concerns. Crim passed. Meds valid to 2021/02/19 - Next steps/recommendation -- Ready for FINAL DECISION upon resumption of service.

Please what is your take on this?

The security is blank with the S. 15(1). Just like I stated, the eligibility was passed by the CPA in Sydney before file transfer to LVO. I just want to know if my eligibility is conclusively passed.

The note after that that starts with *****Officer**** is a review by an officer who has marked your admissibility as passed, and would suggest that your eligibility was passed.

This is further proved by the fact that your security is blank, which indicates it is in progress. Security only Strats after the eligibility is conclusively passed by an officer.

So you re all good and your security is indeed passed.

Hi, based on the information posted here the officer has reviewed your file. You can make sure about Eligibility status by checking what Security on page#2 indicates, if it's blank then it's conclusively passed. If security is blank it means it's underway (in progress). In this example it's not redacted but usually information obtained from IRCC is not disclosed.
