Graduate student who applied for study permit to Manila office on July 8 .

Could anyone give me an advice for my current situation? I am an incoming graduate student for McGill university by September 1. I applied for study permit on July 8. And submitted all the required documents right away and passed, including biometrics and medical exam. I got an email from CPCE on August 13 that I have passed for preliminary eligibility test and advanced to the next stage of processing. However, I haven't heard any update after that. I had thought my application is being processed from Manila office so that I have kept contacting to the office by email or web form. But, I haven't got any response except automatic response email. Recently I heard that some study permit applications be delivered for processing to the Hong Kong office. So, I sent an email there and they said that my application is being processed at CPC Edmonton in Canada. In this case should I ask to CPCE about my application status? I just submitted webform request to CPCE. Would there anything I can do more? Does anyone know direct line to the CPCE for study permit processing? Please give me any advice.
I am really frustrated now. I have secured my house from September 1 in Canada. So, I have been paying for my rent without being me there. I am financially and mentally broken right now.

There are lot of students with POE approved and visa stamped , but unable to go to Canada due to travel restrictions.
Without getting the POE, renting a house from Sep 1 in Canada, is not a good idea.

We are in the same situation and are kind of mentally broken. Nothing we can do but wait. Let’s see if we have good news on October 20th

I applied in March 7th also processed in Manila, Phillipins, afterwards both the biometrics and medical exam passed. I got the first stage on August 15th. Until now still no updating. I ordered the GCMS notes to find there is passport request on April. I am mentally broken too.
