Hello,
My husband and I are planning to move to Canada from the US in the first week of November 2020. We received a PR approval via express entry on August 28, 2020. Our passports and COPR were shipped from Ottawa on the same day. We were supposed to receive the package on August 31,2020. But fedex misdelivered the package and we never received our passports.

So, our next step was to file a police report, report our situation to cic and apply for new passports. It’s been over a month now. We have received our new passports but we haven’t heard from the cic yet. We have been sending webforms but we are getting a standard reply that it’s taking a longer time to process applications at the moment. We have time till the first week of November and that’s why we are worried. Originally, we had a plan to move in the end of October. Is there anything else that we can do expedite the process?

Sorry for the unfortunate incident. You can also call IRCC to speak with one of the agents. They may have access to the notes of your case.

Thank you for your response. I will try to call them. I wasn’t sure if they respond to the calls from the US.

You can use an App called TextNow to make a call with a virtual number with US area code.
Thank you for this suggestion. It totally worked. I talked with an agent and she gave me some suggestions. Hopefully, her directions will help us to get our PR soon. Thank you once again.

No problem at all. Your case will be fine because it was not your fault.
