Thank's for your reply. knowing that I provided a police certificate when I filed my application. Now I’m being asked for a more recent one
I've spoken with 2 people both who received PFL. after they submitted documents for it, they then got a request for me documents abd the officer continued processing their file so I hope abd think you are good :)

My husband got a PFL during our application. After we sent what they asked for, we didn't hear back for 2 months. Then we got refusal. ( we've appealed and won since then so....) lol but yes, if they were going to refuse the application, they most likely would not haveasked for the updated police check. :)

Send them the updated one as soon as you can. You should be fine. Did you give an explanation as to why you made the mistake?

I hired an immigration lawyer who responded to the letter. Also yesterday I sent the requested document.

Can you tell me what your outcome was? I am also fearful of misrepresentation due to accidentally checking the wrong box. I noticed the error and sent all information to IRCC ahead of them finding it, but am fearful of misrepresentation due to the genuine error.

@LifeDreamer

I honestly didn't put yes because I thought arrested and detained are different. I only declared it in my work permit application because the question on work permit form specifically used the word arrested and I said yes and explained. I was so concerned about this and called cic call center and was told to reply CICs email to me to address my concerns. So in my original application on the schedule A, I said no and also when they asked me to fill another schedule A form I also said no. I think it will be a good idea to use the case specific inquiry to let them know why I said no and let them also know that I had declared it in my work permit and had no intentions of hiding it. Or what do you think? I don't want to have any issues with missrepresenration cos really arrested and detained aren't the same thing. It's really a grey area if you ask me

@JRob32 I got my PR and there was no issues of misrepresentation as I had previously declared my charges arrest in my work permit applications.

I encourage you not to be worried because you can explain yourself. You will be given a chance to explain yourself if it comes to it. Good thing you addressed this by letting them know you made a mistake.

This is one of the best posts i have come across recently :) one of the very few to post an outcome of an application mistake .... good luck

Hi everyone

I have a PR paper application currently processing under the PNP stream, but I have a question with regards to criminal inadmissibility.

I was arrested for a dui in november 8 2015 in Canada (- I know I was stupid and made a bad decision but I've learned pls don't judge). Short story is the disposition was a conditional discharge with 1 yr probation. I was not convicted for this crime and I successfully completed my probation too.

My question is will this be a problem with my PR application? I know that a conditional discharge doesn't mean the same as a conviction hence I'm not criminally inadmissible. Does anyone know someone that got a PR application approved with a similar case as me?

thanks guys
Hello, please advise me how your PR application. I got arrested for assault but got a Peace Bond and not convicted of any crime which is quite similar to a conditional discharge. Will this impact my PR submission as well. Guys please advise me

Has ever committed, been arrested for, been charged with or convicted of any criminal offence in any country?: (required) PR Canada
Has been detained, incarcerated, or put in jail?

Please guys advise me on how to answer the above questions. I got arrested for assault but got a Peace Bond and convicted of any wrong doings. Has anyone out here with conditional/absolute discharge advise me how their PR submission and application went through. Please advise me I got few days left to submit my profile. Thanks

If U did not stand in the witness box at all; that is further better as they settle without that telling accused to stand up in that room, then Judge reads out that BOND or probation or discharges
