Hi guys

For anyone who had a parent on a Super visa or Visitor visa, what was the health coverage you used? I'm in the market for health insurance and just got quoted 3k for my parent, which make me curious if there are any other affordable options out there.

Please PM me the name as I'm not sure if naming it here is allowed. Thanks

Great to hear that about your family, gives hope. But in my case the PR card will expire on the 20th Oct, and I 'm submitting appl for its renewal. Just hoping copy of expired PR card will be accepted. Still, I have to take a chance with whatever I can provide.
Call IRCC or CBSA and ask what kind of ID is acceptable

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone - for those who applied for Parents located in Colombia. Do you have any updates? CIC based in Bogota asked form military status for the principal applicant back on March 5th. We provided this letter back on March 20th but since that day we haven't received any information or request. Any information, updates or news will be very appreciated. Thank you very much. Cheers!

Thank you for your reply @canuck78 . This seems to be really tricky :( . Do you think it would make a difference if my sister's siblings (my brother and I - both on PR here) declare that we will take care of her financial expenses in case our mother passes away. We do not have any plan of leaving her in group homes for disabled adults. She would be living with us?
No need to declare anything. If you Are sponsoring your mother and sister it’s already means that you bear all financial expenses for 20 years. Best of luck in the process!

Hello,

I (an application sponsor) received a passport request letter, but I am not clear if my parents are required to submit their passports. They are from Russia (they are currently in Russia), and they do need visas to enter Canada; however, they both have a valid Canadian visa. Any help would be very much appreciated. Happy Thanksgiving!

yes, to become PR they need a 1-time immigrant visa on their passport. they won't be able to complete landing on a tourist visa.

Could you let me know your timeline? Is your visa office in Warsaw? For my parents (also from Russia) I have decision made for PA since October 5th but haven't heard yet for passport request.

hello friends, first of all my apology for posting here as my question is related to PGP 2020( I did not got any reply in that group, so posting here) if anybody can help... my question is as below,.....
I am eligible to apply for PGP 2020, HOPEFULLY if get invited I have following concerns:
1) I do not have my birth certificate( never issued, even during my PR application in 2015 I had submitted non-availability of birth certificate at that time, I landed as PR in 2016), will that be a problem as birth certificate will be required to prove my relationship with my parents in case I get invited for PGP 2020. What are my options/ what documents will suffice?
2) my parents does not have marriage certificate( were married in 1980, never got one). will that cause any issue as marriage certificate will be required to prove principal applicant's relationship with dependents( wife).
P.S.-- My parents visited Canada twice on visitor visa

GUIDE PLEASE... THANKS
