Someone from February got a rejection yesterday. After 8 effin months! I am wondering what I should do if that happens to me, since I am stuck outside Canada due to this Covid situation. Are you allowed to submit a citizenship application from outside Canada? If not, would a lawyer be able to do it on my behalf?

You can file from outside as i have not seen any rule/instruction restricting to do it. Open one PO box and give that address as communication address and ask your friend to monitor the box once in a month.

As many people here my Citizenship application reached them on March 30. No AOR yet. I read there is an excel sheet? Can you guys include me and share? Thanks!

Hi,

I had a doubt that I missed something to fill in my wife's application (Q.11 -5years history -up to four years only). I am not sure whether they returned the application as the address was an old one on the file.

If they return the application, will it be in the system? If my wife calls Agent, will they able to tell whether it is returned?

Mine was delivered in mid February, and I only got the AOR yesterday. I'd say wait and see for a little while longer.

Fingers crossed. My app was received March 12, waiting for that AOR.

Im in Montreal, too. I thought it might have been a location thing, but there’s Someone else from Montreal in the sheet who did get an AOR let’s keep our fingers crossed.

CIC did processed Montreal's application but seems not by received time because I have a friend applicator 2 weeks later then me but got processed(actually returned in July due to missing document)...

Bit confused how CIC handle our applications...
