Can you elaborate this please? Do you mean CRS will be calculated with cumulative work experience even if it is under 2 different NOCs? Like for me NOC4012 is 2.5y and 4011 is 1yr (Will this be in the category of 3 years or above?)
Hello, don't know if this has been answered already or not. Pardon me if it has been. I have 1560+ hours work experience working as TA/RA continuously for 32 months. I get that this will make me eligible to apply as a FSW. But when it comes to the minimum CRS points needed to be invited for applying to the EE program, I am a bit short. My CRS is 461 when I specify no Canadian experience and no foreign experience. But if I specify 1 year foreign experience, I get 25 more points making the total score 486. 461 is not enough, but 486 is. So I was wondering if I can show my TA/RA experience as 1 year foreign work experience to get the extra 25 points when calculating my CRS. Could someone please clarify?
What is your TA/RA experience? Where, when, under what visa, and are you getting paid and can you provide proof?
I am currently in Canada under study permit about to finish my MSc degree from a Canadian university. My TA/RA experience will be 1664 hours by the time I graduate. Yes I am getting paid and can prove if needed.
So your TA/RA is in Canada under a study permit? Then no you cannot claim CRS points.

That's disappointing. It's weird that this work experience is not counted for CRS points (as foreign work experience) while it was counted when judging FSW eligibility. Anyway, thanks for the info man.
My guess is that they don't want to double count. Since you get extra points for Canadian education already, giving points for work under study permit will give some people too much advantage/make student employment unnecessarily complicated.
Fair enough. Guess I will have to get a job and wait 1 year before applying. Don't think the minimum points will go down to 460 anytime soon.

I'm working as an RA/TA as a Ph.D. student (of course getting paid for it). Since am applying using my M.Sc degree (and not claiming this RA/TA from M.Sc program), can I claim my RA/TA as my work experience? Will it count at all? If yes, will that qualify me for a Canadian experience class or just FSW (please note that I still have a valid open work permit-PGWP). I also have one year of work experience from my home country too. In addition, I have 1 year of work experience in Canada, but it's a bit confusing if it belongs to NOC C or B. My duty is in NOC B while my title is close to NOC C. Thanks so much in anticipation.

I completed my PhD this October in India , during my PhD I was paid scholarship and I stayed in US for one year and few months and during that period also I was paid. My question is whether the period for which I was paid will be counted as work experience? I wish to apply for PR through express entry.

I understand there will be no CRS points, but does it count points when trying to enter the pool (to achieve 67 pts threshold)?
In addition, I got T4A with box 105: Scholarships, bursaries, fellowships, artists' project grants, and prizes. It seems different to 'wage' or 'salary'.
Then, from the ITA to CoPR, do you know any recent successful cases? I found a thread with similar cases in 2014 and 2015, but their cases were rejected.

Same situation. I have T4A with box 105 Scholarship, so that no tax to pay. The PhD research is my entire ' working experience'. Do your PR application get approved througth FSW?
