just curious... why does it take so long to process the paper application... but for online EE it is 6 months... why the difference
I had same question before. My answer comes to that paper process sets target 18months and assigns the resource according to that processing timeline. That's it. EE sets 6 months and has more resources.

Hi Fabio,

Did you try calling them? Maybe they can give you extra information by phone.
The only phone number available on IRCC website is an automated system that requires an application number (which I don't have). I have used their webform several times and after a week (average) their reply is always the same: that they don't have my application yet, that due to COVID, processing is slower, etc. Mostly a standard reply.
