Standard vs complete police report - Australia

I received an email tonight from CIC.

Ø Police Certificate: From each country/state where the residence period has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide an original police clearance certificate from Australia. Please note that we required a Standard Disclosure police certificate, you have submitted a Complete Disclosure police certificate instead. This must be received at this office by: 2016/04/15

Does anyone know what the difference is?

LOL, the difference that CIC does not accept the Complete Disclosure certificate...

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/australia.asp

based on the info in the application form,
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/police-cert/asia-pacific/australia.asp

The"standard" for immigration purposes (code 35), the PCC includes info on "unspent offences" only, not all offences.
http://www.afp.gov.au/what-we-do/police-checks/spent-convictions-scheme

In other words, the PCC you sent might have had TMI. In reality, if it was clear of any offence, CIC is just sticking to its rules and insisting you do the same.

Thanks! Yeah I was asking because back a couple of years ago I would have just done what was asked... I ordered the code 35 and just waiting for it. I must have ordered a Code 33 which is for immigration back when... It was clear for everything so who knows. I also received my notes this week which say that my certificate was acceptable... Give them what they want and just keep waiting I guess :)

All I did (second time) was a National Police Check. Its a standard disclosure which took 2 days for them to process and arrived by mail in 10 days.

Baxter that sounds simple, did you apply online? wondering if the online application allows you to save and return to it later?

Yes I applied online. I'm not sure if you can save and return, but I don't see why not. You can only do online if you have a scanner for your documents for the points required.

I submitted the "Complete Disclosure" instead of "Standard Disclosure" in my PR application. Will this be an issue if I submit the "Standard Disclosure Check" Via webform? I mean before the completeness check?

I submitted the Standard Disclosure later via webform and it was fine. My application is in process now. As I figured I sent an email via webform to inform that I have submitted the wrong police clearance and they replied asking to submit the correct police clearance as soon as possible. I think it should be fine if you can submit the police clearance before the completeness check.

Hi,
Just to clarify, does code "35" means "Standard disclosure"?
Can I get the police check certificate delivered to an Australian address instead of my current (Bangladeshi) address? As postal address( Australian in this case) will be mentioned on the certificate , is that going to be an issue as that address is not my present address?

Hi Aroshak,
How many days it took for the police check certificate to arrive you? Do you live in India?

hey, it doesn’t matter you can put any address. My husband got his certificate delivered to an Australian address while he was not in Australia anymore. It was delivered to a relative and he scanned the document. Also, 35 is standard and they only ask for standard.
