I am a Registered nurse by profession. I applied for a Post Graduate Diploma In Gerontology on September 7th, 2020 at Fanshawe College in London Ontario. Received Biometrics request On September 8th (Unable to do them because there are no Centers in The Bahamas so I’ll have to travel to the U.S to have them & my medical done. But my country still has travel restrictions right now.) Other than that no other updates yet. What are your timelines? Any other nurses here? If so what pathway are you planning on taking? I also have an active EE profile in the pool that was submitted in April 2020. Hopefully that doesn't hinder My approval.

Hey I'm from the Caribbean as well. I received AIP for fanshawe College fall 2020. I don't think you should have had an active ee profile while applying for a study visa as they will see it as dual intent. Also isn't it possible to go to another Caribbean island to do biometrics?
I also you should be in the category for AIP since you applied before September 15th.

It’s definitely possible to go to other Caribbean islands to do it but the plane ticket is a bit more costly and most are further away. By plane from The Bahamas to America is about 45mins and a plane ticket usually cost $250-$300 round trip. I’ve also traveled there several times so driving and finding accommodations will be easier than going somewhere that I’ve never visited. I was really afraid because of having the EE Profile but in my application I was honest & told them about it In the section that asked if I ever applied to come to Canada & God’s favor must be upon me because shortly after I started this thread I got AIP @ 5:45pm.
