@sara666 ,

Do we have any hopes on the below travel exceptions to bring Family to Canada.

https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/canad...s-to-allow-more-families-to-reunite-1.5130094
We should ask this question to MM until he responds and be active on social FB and Twitter. My husband, which is inland, told me yesteday that as per local news, IRCC had to take this yesterday's decision to ease travel restrictions for families due to public pressure. Family class sponsorship did a great work. We have to do the same.

Based on the new travel exceptions. we can bring family members by applying visitor visa .

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...es/coronavirus-covid19/visitors/visa.html#new

Once they reached here then we can change the address then will become Permanent Resident if the PR application is already approved
You are right but have you seen the processing time of a Visitor Visa application. For India, it is 248 DAYS. i.e. 8 MONTHS!!!!

We need a better solution!

I don't think it will be applicable for Dependent Visitor Visa. They will prioritize Visitor visa application for family members.

Maybe. :( But I have a feeling that by the time we go through the hassle of applying for a visitor visa, getting it, and then getting written authorization from IRCC to allow our dependents to enter Canada, the border will likely be opened for approved PR candidates.

I think we all have to start tweeting on their account, it may alert their attention towards our files.
Right...What when...nobody does

Hello All,

Glad to read through all the comments here..

I am somewhat in a situation like mentioned here...

Me, Wife and Elder daughter have PR.. We did soft landing last year and got PR cards and all are back in India.. My wife gave birth in India and our second child need to get sponsored. Due to travel restrictions we are stuck here and the PR timelines are unpredictable. Here are my assumptions

1. I am planning to travel alone in Feb 2021 and try to submit my application straight from Toronto.
a. Should I show some funds for this?
b. The timeline says 12 months
c. Can I apply for Visit Visa for Child and let her come with my wife?

2. Is there any option to apply from India?

Please advise me on how I should approach?/

Thanks in advance
