Hey guys,

I got a Canadian visitor visa (paper-based) about 10 years ago at the local Consulate. I forgot about it when I created the EE profile, so I answered NO to the question "Has XXX applied to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada before?".

Now in my e-APR, I changed my answer to YES.

Will this be a reason for rejection? Should I raise a CSE to explain?

Thanks!

Can you make changes to your application post ITA? I have not yet submitted the application as I still have a while before I have to submit it.

It is mainly job offer. I am on an open work permit and the company I am with wants to keep me on board permanently but for Pre-ITA form I put in I have a job offer but no LMIA so obviously there were no points for it. I removed that section for intended job in canada as a 'no' and my points dont seem to change but the documents they require for upload have (they require lesser documents).

I am not sure if it raises any flags if i make a change to my application post ITA as long as my score doesnt changw!

Hi, I have a situation where I had submitted my application with a certificate of qualification (Water treatment) which is not appropriately aligning with my course of study. My score was 490 when I did this and I got an ITA when the cut-off score for the draw was 439.

If I modify the PR application and remove the certificate criteria, my score is 440 (more than cut off draw score).

1. Is it fine to update the application after ITA?
2. Will there be a problem since the scores before and after ITA do not match?
3. Do I need to provide a LOE on why I removed the certification details?

Please suggest.
Almost same situation with me now bro. What did you do in that case?

Hi guys ... HELP
I received ITA at 469. My score is 495. I mentioned accidentally that I am having 3 years of work experience instead of 2 years. After calculating my points with 2 years of work experience, my score comes out to be 470 (still greater than the minimum CRS). Should I accept the ITA and mention in Letter of Explanation or Is there any option to edit the same? Kindly guide me. ....

Hello guys. Need help!
I created my EE profile on June, 2019. And just got the ITA today. However, I got married in January, 2020. And I forgot to update it. Even that my partner is already PR and my score is still the same. But it has been more than 3 months since we got married. Will the officer accept my Letter of Explanation for marital status change? Has anyone experienced the same problem. Please share. Thank you.

Hello people. My daughter was born on 28-07-2020. I couldn't get time to update this information on my EE profile. I received ITA on the 5th of august. Now her passport and Birth certificate will show the date of birth pre-ITA. How should I proceed with the PR application?

Hi bro,
I am also in the same situation. I wold like to know what did you do. Did you followed Option B, If yes

1. did you submit LOE for this?
2. Did you attach the LOE with your only experience?

Please reply as I am so tensed as of now.
Could you please let us know how you solved this issue? Did you declined the ITA or went ahead with LOE? I am in similar situation, you response would help others as well since i am seeing lot of questions around this topic on the forum

Thanks

Hi All
I unknowingly wrote my ielts result date wrong (a difference of 1 day). Now I have received ita. Will this be a problem? Can I correct it now? Will I have to reject my ita due to this mistake.

Hi! I need some help with this. When I created my EE profile, I did not declare that I was in a common-law relationship (because my partner didn't have his IELTS and ECA yet and thus would possibly decrease my score) but I added him in after I received my ITA. In my GCMS notes, I saw that this was one of the things the officer had pointed out. My application is tagged as "Eligibility Review Required". Was it a mistake for me to add him in my application? What can I do?

There is nothing that can be done at this stage since the application is already under process. Did the officer mean "Review Required" only for this issue or was is related to work experience?

Also, if the timeline was of you adding your partner was very close to the application or ITA date, it will lead to additional scrutiny.

Hi, I think there were a few other things that the officer tagged but I don't exactly know where to find this in my GCMS notes. The officer's notes were way back in June 2020 and I haven't gotten GCMS since then. My GCMS notes were dated July 29, and I understand it's been a long time since then. They also mentioned that my score pre-ITA was 478 but post-ITA was 479 (with my partner included) and only 429 points were verified as of the officer's checking in June 2020. I have sent a few follow up documents since then.

I sent a letter of explanation saying that we were waiting for my partner to receive his IELTS and ECA results and just add them to my EE profile because without these my CRS would be low. We were expecting that I would have to wait a few months to receive an invitation so I'd be able to edit my EE profile to include his credentials. But the ITA came barely a month after I submitted my EE profile (which is a good thing, of course) and thus my profile was without my partner. I received the ITA 05 Feb 2020 and submitted the application 25 March 2020 (with my partner already included). Since my CRS score increased post-ITA and that was the only thing that changed in my profile, I thought this wouldn't be a problem but now I am wondering if it is? I am also wondering if the letter of explanation would be enough?

I suggest rather than speculating, you should ask for a new set of notes to know what has been the latest update. "Review Required" cases do take time, so just ensure you have provided all the necessary proof from your end.

You just have to wait it out after that...
