Hey, I was reading somewhere in the forum that IRCC is now doing Criminality check first before doing other checks like eligibility and security. Anyone here called IRCC to check their current status? Any update regarding this matter?

Yeah, criminality is usually before eligibility or at least hand-in-hand. My criminality is in progress but eligibility has not yet been started as per IRCC call centre agents. This might also be because CIO-Sydney, which is the first to receive all applications, does criminality—and after that applications often (not always) move to the LVO or CPC for further processing. I may be wrong, but this is what I understand.

Called ircc last week and was told my eligibility was passed, but criminality and security yet to be started.

Sure that’s very possible. If you ask them over a phone call or a web from, they will tell you. The fact that they told you about your eligibility when you called means it’s still in Canada.

Yes, you're right. My ITA was May 28 not Mar 28. Mar 28 was the date I entered EE.
