Police verification for India process through Consulate General Toronto

Hey All - I have applied for police verification from India through BLS Canada. Application was received on 12th may. However, it took around 2 weeks to get reflected into their system. On 2nd June, I saw status as Processing at Consulate General and after 2 days, I received another email that my case has been sent to local residence police station in India. I do not know how long will it take since this process of sending to India seems to be started recently. Has anyone else been on the same boat or have gone through the same process? How long did it take for people who went through the same process and received clearance?

Unfortunately, it takes longer if it was forwarded to your local police station in India. Before the pandemic, it was taking a month for cases like yours. I got mine within a week (postal application), but mine was not forwarded.

My status of application changed on 15th September 2020, processing at consulate general. On 19th September 2020, I had received the email of police verification at my home address in India, and the police have verified the address on 22nd September 2020. It has been almost 15 days, I didn't receive any update on my application.

May I know if it takes longer then it has expected. Please share your timelines.

I applied through postal service at BLS Canada on January 6th 2021, recieved an email saying "police verification has been initiated at your local police station in india" on January 12th, verification by police done on 15th and since then i haven't seen any update on my file. It says processing at consulate general
