Looks like it will be applicable for existing PR and Citizen applicants. What do you think?

Thanks for your update !! I have raised the same question to IRCC on their twitter page. Yet to get reply from them. As a primary applicant /WP holder, we are also residing in Canada. They cannot put our application on hold with the comment like "overseas dependent". If so, it will be applicable for PR's and Citizens as well. I believe they will consider us as part Family Reunification. Let's see and hope for the best.Hello Sara,
I was reading your posts and realized that we are kind of in the same situation, even my dependant is in India. I called IRCC to confirm if they are speeding up the application with an Outland dependent. The reply I got was ....The announcement made yesterday was only for Spousal Applications. However, IRCC is arranging more staff to work on every application that is currently in process.
Exactly, I was thinking that IRCC should allow the in-land applicant to land as a PR and this will automatically exempt the outland dependent from the travel restriction as they will be an immediate family member of a PR. I was hoping it works that way. Thanks for your update !! I have raised the same question to IRCC on their twitter page. Yet to get reply from them.
