Thank you both. I had called ircc because I had a ghost update after providing my adr (rcmp pcc) but the adr status didn't seem to change from uploaded to we are reviewing. The agent who answered my call said my criminality was in progress, wasn't able to tell me why I had a ghost update, and said eligibility hadn't been started yet. That's when I asked him if I completed R10 or not and he seemed to be unsure of that. I already had MEP and permanent uci by then, so I was surprised that he couldn't say whether R10 is passed. I had assumed that that would have passed by then for sure.
Ghost Update is not an official IRCC term but implies progress which is a good sign. Your application is in the early innings of the process and around the halfway mark, 3 to 4 months post AOR, you can consider requesting your Gcms Notes (for free) for more insight.

Yesterday, I checked my account and saw that it was updated for MEP. I still don't have a BIL. Today, when I checked, it says that my profile was updated again, and MEP has disappeared. The progress bar is still there, though. Did this happen to anyone else?
Keep us updated about whether your MEP comes back. What do you mean by "disappeared"? Has it gone back to "you do not need a medical exam"?

@legalfalcon

Hi, would like to hear from you on, for those who have already received BIL and application status in 'Your action required' . Do you think we should submit or not?

Sorry, couldn't find any clarification on this in the website.

Yeah, so I got another "profile updated" but then the profile was just reverted to what it was before MEP, so it once again says "you do not need a medical exam." @legalfalcon, have you heard of such cases, and what usually happens?

May I know how GCMS notes can be requested for free?

May I know how GCMS notes can be requested for free?
Hi there, it's free to request your own information if you are in Canada. Inland applicants can take advantage of the process under the Privacy Act as outlined here https://help.gcmsnotes.com/how-to-order/for-free and also below. If that does not work you can take the help of a friend or a family member as well and it costs $5 in that case.

⭕ Who can make a request for free?

Any Canadian citizen, permanent resident or individual present in Canada has the right to access their personal information held by government institutions that are subject to the Privacy Act.

There are no fees charged for requests made under the Privacy Act.
The purpose of the Privacy Act is to protect the privacy of individuals with respect to personal information about themselves where it is held by a government institution and to provide individuals with the right to access such information.

Note: Personal information which belongs to an individual who is not a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or currently living in Canada must be requested under the Access to Information Act, in which case a consent form will be required.

⭕ Checklist of what you will need

To prove that you have the right to make a request, you must provide one of the following documents: a copy of your Canadian passport or your permanent resident card, or an official document that demonstrates you are currently living in Canada (i.e. a driver's license, bill with proof of address, work/study/visitor permit, etc). Only one (1) document is required. Your Social Insurance Number (SIN) will not be accepted.
A consent form is NOT needed for a Privacy Act request since you are requesting your own information.

⭕ What file types can I attach for my supporting documents with my online request?

The maximum size of each file is 2 MB (two megabytes). The following file formats are allowed:
  1. Portable Document Format (PDF)
  2. JPG, TIFF, or PNG (Image)
  3. DOC, DOCX (Microsoft Word Document)
⭕ How-to

  • Visit the official IRCC website at https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/privacyTerms.do and follow the online instructions.
  • The process has 4 steps
    1. Requester Information (see details below)
    2. Act & Record Selection (see details below)
      1. Important. For the question "What type of information are you requesting?" Select "Privacy Act" to get your own information for free.
    3. Attach Documents
    4. Review and Validate

Requester Information
Department:
Eligibility: Family Name: Given Name(s) (First Name): Street Number: Street Name: Name of Business or Organization: Apt./Suite/Unit #: Post office box: City: Province/State: Country: Telephone Number: Fax Number: E-mail Address: Re-enter e-mail Address: Requesting information on your own behalf? Category of Requester: How would you prefer to receive requested records:

Act & Record Selection
What type of information are you requesting
: Language: Type of records do you wish to request: Family Name: Given Name(s) (First Name): Date of Birth: Client ID Number (UCI): Alias: Type of record would you like to request: Which specific information are you looking for: File Number:

⭕ How long will it take to obtain the GCMS notes?

The legislated time-frame for processing a request under the Access to Information Act is 30 calendar days. If the 30 day deadline falls on a weekend or on a holiday, the due date becomes the next business day. Please note;
  • IRCC processes orders only during regular business hours, Eastern Time. That means processing of orders received by IRCC outside of operating hours or the weekend will begin the following business day.
  • The GCMS notes are usually generated around the time the request is made, not at the time when it’s released.
  • IRCC can extend the time limit to respond to a request beyond the 30 calendar days.
⭕ Is there a sample GCMS file?

See a sample GCMS file at https://sample.gcmsnotes.com/

Hi Legalfalcon,
Needed a little bit of help. I uploaded my PR application on 17th September and also received AOR the same day. In the question that ‘have you applied to IRCC before or were you a part of a PR application’ I answered in the negative. But I had applied for tourist visa in 2019. After reading the comments on some other groups, I understand that I should have answered yes to the question. Please can anybody help me as to what I can do now? Thanks

My MEP hasn't reappeared, and my profile still says "You do not need a medical exam," but I got BIL today. I'm so confused, haha. I just hope the MEP thing is a glitch, and the BIL means I passed R10.

You could call IRCC and ask tomorrow about it. Depending on where you are located, by "tomorrow", I mean Friday in Canadian time, the last working day of this week. When I called them for something else, the call centre agent was able to check and see whether my medicals were looking passed or not. If it's a glitch, the agent will at least tell you what he can see on his end.

Yea..I got it too on 21st Sept..!!
After this step..there is gonna be a long wait..that's what I gather from numerous forums like these.. and yes they can still request any additional document during this period.

Hi @caipsnotes : Thank you for your clear instruction. BTW, I would like to know how I can get other information for dependents (spouse & child).
Hi, to request information for someone other than yourself you need their permission in the form of a consent form. The form is available here and includes instructions as well. Using this version of the form or an older version of the form as well is fine; in fact it's not mandatory to use these form at all and it can even be a handwritten/typed note that gives the requestor permission to seek the information. Also to request someone else's information you will need to do so under the Access to Information Act, but some folks in Canada have reported to have success under the Privacy Act for their family information.
