Bridging Open Work Permit - Travel outside and come back

Hi,

I have my work permit valid till Dec 30, 2020. I have applied for bridging open work permit since I am near my work permit expiry. My query is when a BOWP is applied, Can we travel outside Canada and come back within our normal Work permit validity. Will this travel impact the BOWP application process in any way? Thanks and appreciate the responses

If you got valid visa and a valid work permit it's very likely you can come back in, even given the travel restrictions. Just let CBSA know that you have an application for BOWP in progress if they ask.

And No, it will not have anyimpact on your current application.

Hey, when did you apply for BOWP and how long is the anticipated processing time for it?
