Hello @legalfalcon I have an urgent query. I am about to submit my EAPR.

I created a new profile after fall out with my consultant and received and ITA. They filed a work permit application for me on July 15th. My reference letter was dated March 2020 showing as working till date. I have requested to take the application back and withdraw it. I hadn't update my consultant that my last day with the employer was 10th July and they filed my work permit application.

Since now I am applying on my own, my question is that I worked with my last company till July 10th 2020 and reference letter is dated 15th July 2020. Will this be an issue after my EAPR? I want to be very sure if this would raise any issues. I want to apply EAPR this week only.

Thank you in advance assisting me.

Hi everyone,

I have just got my ITA last round, but I am very confused by how to get the AOR. please helpo_O

I have already filled up all the information sections and clicked continue, then it brings me to the document checklist which requires medical exam result and PCC together with other documents.

Since what I have known from many threads, usually they are required AFTER I submitted the application and payment, THEN i will receive instructions on how and when to perform body check and acquire PCC, should be in form of messages or email? i guess?

Right now I have no AOR, nowhere to click application submission, do not have the request letter from Canadian consulate general or whatsoever.

What should I do? Have the steps changed?

Please help give me some info about what to do next, many thankso_O

These steps are to be performed before submitting the application. Only in very rare cases where you apply for these documents and cannot get medical or PCC you can submit proof (such as fee receipts and appointment receipts) that you tried to gather documents but could not due to some reason, and will submit when they are available. Even then it is visa officer's discretion to reject or accept your application.

Ideally, this should be known to you even before making a profile and getting an ITA. My suggestion is to go through the pinned posts in the express entry section of this forum and read the process thoroughly. Or you can hire a representative to guide you if time is short.

Thanks for prompt reply.

The thing is that I need the PCC to send application, but I can only get PCC after the application. It's a paradox to me.

From CA website:

"Do I need to provide a police certificate with my application for permanent residence?
No. We’ll send you a letter requesting a police certificate after you send us your application for permanent residence. You must bring that letter when you apply for a police certificate. "

My problem is my portal seems need me to provide the PCC BEFORE the application. But it says I need to first send application to get their letter, which is required for the PCC.

Am I misunderstanding anything?

It will not be an issues. You can go ahead and submit your application with the work reference letter dated July 15, 2020. Since your are only claiming point for the work you have done which is reflected in the work reference letter, it won't matter.

As regards your work permit application, that was an old letter and accurate as of when it was issues.

You information is not correct. The medicals for express entry are required upfront. IRCC clearly states:

"Applicants and their family members must undergo upfront medical examinations and submit all required police certificates as part of their complete application. Medical results must be valid and applicants are encouraged to undergo medical examinations closer to the date their application is submitted to avoid processing delays. In exceptional circumstances, processing offices may be flexible in accommodating these requirements where delays occur outside the control of applicants. See the document checklist below for details."

The steps have not changed. What you may be reading are for family class sponsorship or pre-EE.

See the links above to know how to get your medicals and also for police certificate. Without the medicals and PCC, your application will be incomplete and rejected at completeness Check.

See https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/about.html

For which country you have to get PCC. See this link https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how.html

For some countries, you do not have to provide a PCC with your application, as the PCC is only issued after a request from IRCC is sent. For those countries the procedure is listed above. Even in these cases, you will have to submit a LoE and inform that you need a letter from IRCC to obtain the PCC and thus it is not included with your application.

Hope this helps!

I am in the exact situation as nelsonbombom regarding PCC and I was about to post a question about it here, but I see that you have answered it already. I am living in Saudi Arabia, and it is one of those countries where the PCC can only be applied for after a request from IRCC.

Just a follow-up question: So I will upload the LoE in which I will mention that I need the request from IRCC to be able to apply for the PCC, but what about the place-holder for the Saudi PCC? I am thinking about uploading a screenshot of the page where it says I don't have to submit a PCC for Saudi now:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/medical-police/police-certificates/how/saudi-arabia.html

Would that be the right thing to do?

Thanks in advance, sir!
