I wanted my family to come to Canada during the sponsorship process.
My wife got her visitor visa back in November. My son is a US citizen so he doesn't need a visa.
My wife's son didn't have a visa, so we applied for his visitor visa on July 1st, 2020 just when the restrictions on family visits became a little more relaxed. Today his visa was approved despite the fact that VACs are closed in our country (Russia) and the processing time is 169 days.

I wanted to share this information with you guys. Don't give up and try to get your families here.

My timeline:
AOR1 - March 7, 2020
Biometrics - September 17, 2020
I haven't received medical request yet. Is it normal? Can we get the medical done without medical request to save time so that when we get the request we can submit medical document right away.
Please guide me. Thanks.

Guys, just got Medical Request letter. Things are finally moving in the Sydney office.

Got medical request recently as well. Will get it done asap as Covid 19 cases are increasing again in Canada so need to get this done before Sydney office locks down again.

We are bit confused, we received biometrics request on Sep 9th and received medical request today (Sep 18th). But we did not get any sponsorship approval (SA) letter.
We tried ecas with Sponsor's UCI for the first time, and under 'Sponsorship Application Status' it says 'Decision Made'. But we do not see any more details about the decision.

Does this mean we got Sponsorship Approval?
Does any one has similar updates?


PS: PA is in India & Application received on Feb 20th.
