Hi, I just received my AOR today Sept 16, 2020. Please update the sheet. Also, I have checked the processing time for the application is 12 months, is 12 months from AOR, or is from the time we mail the application package to the office which the date the immigration office actually received the application.

is the 12 months processing time starting time is ECAS in progress time or starts at AOR time or the time they receive your application?

Hi,

I sent my application on June 11th and delivered on June 17th to Sydney, Nova scotia office. I didn't get any update yet. Anyone knows how long it takes please ?
I just received my AOR on September 16, today and I sent in the application on March 20, 2020. ( about 6 months). I know some people have not yet received their AOR when the immigration office received the actual application in early March. Therefore I am considering my self luck already.

Sadly, that ETA was pre-covid for the whole process. There were people who would become citizens in well under 12 months. From articles I've read, with all the covid delays, we're likely looking at 1.5 to 2 years to become citizens unless they implement online tests, interviews, and oaths.

Processing time is counted starting from the AOR as per their website.
As per their website, the "processing time starts the day we receive your complete application and ends when we make a decision." (emphasis mine)

The online instruction guide last updated on 2020-08-18 also has the address without Citizenship Grants. I hope this doesn't cause any issues but it is something out of our control so I would not think about it. My logic was to go with the most recent dated address which was this instruction guide.

Also the PR applications currently being opened are from March. Even if this is the issue I would think it is opened at the same time if not earlier than if we would have put Grants on the address.

By the way I have also checked the PR cards checklist and online instruction guide and it has the following address which is clearly different from the Case "Processing Centre - Sydney" label on the citizenship instruction guide:

Case Processing Centre – PR Card
49 Dorchester Street
Sydney, NS
B1P 5Z2

So I would think if it has no label and includes Sydney they would assume it to be Citizenship as two places on their instructions do not have Citizenship grants label but PR renewal clearly does.

Bottom line is there is enough to worry about, I would not add this to the list!
Looks like they have updated the address on the website instructions now to include Citizenship Grants in the address. Curious if there are any in March who have received their AOR and only included the below address from the checklist without Citizenship grants. Trying to figure out if delays are associated with something to do with Citizenship Grants missing in the address.

No, it wont be an issue as they open the application and stamp it and sort them according to category(while stamping/sorting they wont be doing it based on the address/cover label but based on the actual form received).
As even Jan/Feb applicants are still receiving AOR and not all March have received, your should be coming in some days. Delay is nothing to do with label.

Can this be confirmed? Has anyone who did NOT write/include "Citizenship-Grant" on their application application mailing label to Sydney received AORs already for March?

Yes, there is someone in the April thread who copied the address exactly as it is without "Citizenship grants" and received AOR

March applicant here. I missed putting it and received AOR last Sept. 14, 2020, so you will be good.
