Hi everyone,
I just got my AOR on 13 August 2020 and biometrics request the same day.. my concern is does any one know how to go about it? Because service Canada is not offering the biometrics service now due to Covid19.

It can’t currently be done in Canada.

Typically 2 years until you hear whether she gets AIP or is refused. You should be aware that parents do get denied for H&C even if widowed. It is a risky thing to apply for. Attached an example.

But I have a unique situation, on top of her-being my mother- (I do not want to disclose in the group)

However i just got a medical request this morning so I am really hoping that its heading to the positive route

As long as you are clear about the risks good luck. Assume it has to do with her health if she is being asked to do a medical so early.

I have the same problem. I had an appointment since march but it was cancelled.

Application received- Feb 14, 2020
In process- July 2020
AIP- September 11, 2020
Now waiting for my medical instruction letter while Biometrics is on hold since it is still not available.

Hi! Do you still have status here in canada when u apply H&C?
I applied also for best interest of the child..and at the same graduated from designated school but student is not eligible to apply PGWP. Because its private school.

Yes my application went in process in November 2020. Today I got an email from BRO office that my application has been reviewed that I don't need biometric, they initiated refund for the biometric fee I paid. I am hopping and praying for positive decision. Thanks for asking.

hello..I just want to ask something..
I apply for H&C submitted Oct. 2019 and it was start process on Oct. 2020 and now Jan. 2021 it says “decission made” and sent us a correspondence about our application..is this a good or bad thing..until now we didn’t receive the correspondence yet...thanks!

I was excluded because I gave my biometric when I claimed asylum in 2017, My application went in process after 7 months, now is the 9th month.. still waiting

AOR: April 15 2020
Biometric Request: August 7 2020

Mine application submitted June 2020, AOR July 2020, request for biometrics Sept. 8,2020. I submitted my biometrics last December because of covid closures. Now my lawyer is asking me to submit updates from my financial stuff and daughter's school report cards. She said just to let the officer know i am still continuing to establish myself in Canada.
Hoping also to have new information sooner.
